Missing Notifications

If your automated alerts aren't arriving as expected, it is usually due to a configuration setting rather than a system error. Use the following steps to ensure your alerts are reaching you.

1. Check Your Delivery Channels

The most common cause of missing alerts is that the specific delivery method has not been enabled in your settings.

  • Email Toggles: Visit Settings > Notifications and ensure that Email renewal reminders is switched on.

  • Slack Integration: If you expect alerts in Slack, verify that Slack renewal reminders is toggled on.

  • Integration Connection: If Slack alerts are missing entirely, go to the Integrations tab to confirm your workspace is still successfully connected.

2. Verify Your Alert Frequency

The frequency settings determine how often and for which events you are notified.

  • Tier Selection: If you have Critical alerts only selected, you will not receive the "Upcoming" (7-day) reminder; you will only receive "Due soon" or "Overdue" alerts.

  • Digest Mode: If you have Weekly digests only enabled, you won't get immediate pings for each tool. Instead, you will receive one consolidated summary per week.

3. Validate Your Timezone

Because Subsight triggers alerts based on your local schedule, an incorrect timezone can cause alerts to arrive at unexpected hours.

  • Account Settings: Go to Settings > Account and check the Your timezone field.

  • Accuracy: Ensure the region matches your current location so that "Renewal Day" notifications trigger at the start of your actual business day.

4. Ownership and Assignments

In Subsight, notifications are primarily sent to the designated owner of a tool.

  • Assigned Tools: Check the Team page to confirm the tool is assigned to you.

  • Assignment Pings: Ensure Notify when I’m assigned a tool is enabled if you are missing alerts about new responsibility transfers.
